Dingo Queensland Australia

http://www.about-australia.com/queensland/capricorn/destinations/dingo/
Dingo is a small town located just across the railway line from the Capricorn Highway. The origin of the town's name is shrouded in mystery - some say a railway surveyor saw a dingo on the creek bank and gave the town its name whilst others say that Moses Wafer, an early pioneer, heard dingo's howling at night and named the town after his camp site.

A bronze statue of a Dingo is in the town commemorating the town's name. This busy town sits on two major highways that service the beef, mining and coal industries. Up to 1,000 vehicles pass through in one day, and it's not unusual to see 10 triple road trains outside the roadhouse.

There is accommodation at the cattle station, where you can horse ride and muster. Dingo also holds the annual World Championship Dingo Trap Throwing and Picnic Races in July. For more information, just ask at the 24 hour service station on the Highway.

The last colony of the endangered Bridled Nailtail Wallaby was found north of Dingo.

Sydney Australia

Sydney Australia

Sydney has to be one of the most exciting places in the World, running second to New York and Shanghai.
Tourists arrive in Sydney by plane, train, bus and Car. All travel services are excellent, and I have traveled to Sydney by every way.
I drove to Sydney from Melbourne on the Pacific Highway along the coast on Highway 1, and drove back inland on the Hume Highway. Both drives were fantastic. I also drove inland from West Wyalong, via Canberra. That was interesting too.

This trip I flew in from China where I was teaching to collect a Chinese Visa, and while waiting in the City, I went on the  Monorail which gives a view of Sydney from above.
These are the photos shared here on the Video, and you can see the harbor, the shops and the city of Sydney viewed from the Monorail as it traveled Sydney and back.

Greyhound Buses

Travel by Greyhound Bus

http://www.greyhound.com.au/

One of the best ways of traveling is using the Greyhound buses.
I have traveled the whole East Coast using Greyhound buses, and they have some great travel packages that you can link with your YHA and Backpacker accommodation.

First decide where you want to go...say Perth to Broome and back. Then go online to seek the cheapest and best way of getting there. When the bus fare was $130 from Cloncurry to Brisbane, I found a cheap flight for almost the same...so I took that, but mostly the bus is the cheapest travel especially if you have a student or pensioner discount.

Mostly I use the buses as I can take photographs from the bus if I get a window seat, which I insist on having, and the stops means I see sights along the way, and also get to chat to other travelers.

Its better than just the aeroplane, where you get from A to B in a short time with no inbetween action.I enjoy seeing where I am traveling, so if time is not an issue, I travel by bus.

They have many special trips too...I am off to book one after viewing the site.

Have a look for where you can go and head off there
Frpm Perth, can I suggest a trip to Albany along the coast, and back through Manjimup and inland through the Tall Trees of Pemberton. Then do another trip north to either Monkey Mia and Broome, or inland to the Kimberlies.

Bon Voyage..wish I could come.
Here is my recommended trip from Perth to Broome
